Tom McAmis, founder and drummer extraordinaire of BandFromUNCLE - not to mention by far the healthiest (of the guys anyway ...), suffered a heart attack at a gig in March 2007.  Being the concerned and conscientious soul that he is, he actually waited until the break between the 2nd & 3rd sets so as to cause as little disruption and disappointment as possible.  He subsequently underwent quadruple bypass surgery on March 13th and has made a good recovery. We were inundated by requests other musicians and friends to participate in some kind of tribute / benefit for him to help with medical bills and other costs. So Saturday May 5^th 2007 we did such a thing at Cuttin’ Loose in Burleson. This page is but a tiny thank you to everyone who gave - time, money, gifts to auction, food to sell - whatever .... 

Almost a year after the event, it was just pointed out to me that we didn't thank Tom's stepson BJ for sitting in on drums for the man ......  Just goes to show you shouldn't hire a Brit to promote a Texas rock band !!
